After breakfast, we will embark first stop on our journey to the Tohoku region - Nikko. Upon arrival, we will visit Nikkō Tōshō-gū Shrine. This UNESCO World Heritage site is also the final resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. We will then proceed to Futarasan-jinja Shrine, one of the three famous shrines of Nikko, known for bringing good luck and favourable relationships. In the evening, travel to Nasu for dinner and a cozy night at your hotel.

This morning, we will head to Mount Zao. We'll take an aerial cable car to view the world-famous Zao Snow Monsters (Juhyo). As the cable car ascends, a world covered in silver gradually unfolds before our eyes. The Zao Snow Monsters form various peculiar shapes, resembling white monsters or snow spirits, presenting one of the most unforgettable winter scenes in Japan. Next, we'll visit the charming Ginzan Onsen Street. This hot spring town in Yamagata Prefecture is famous for its well-preserved traditional Japanese architecture, often compared to scenes from Hayao Miyazaki's animated film "Spirited Away". We'll stroll along narrow cobblestone streets lined with wooden inns and bathhouses, where rising hot spring steam adds a mysterious atmosphere to the entire town.

Remark: Zao Snow Monsters is a natural phenomenon, shape and size vary depending on the weather conditions. In the case of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances that cause the cable car close, this attraction will be replaced.

This morning, we will visit Tsuruga Castle, also known as "Wakamatsu Castle". Built about 630 years ago, it's a symbol of the local area. During the Boshin War of 1868, it withstood fierce attacks from the new government forces, earning it the reputation of an "impregnable fortress". Next, we'll head to a Sake Brewery Museum, where you can enjoy some sake tasting. Then, we'll proceed to Ouchi-juku, a nationally important preservation district of traditional buildings. Thatched-roof houses line both sides of the street. Here, you can still feel the atmosphere of a street scene from the Edo period.

After breakfast, our first stop is Kurazukuri no Machinami, known as "Little Edo" for its well-preserved Edo-period architecture. Then return to Tokyo. After that proceed to visit the venerable Asakusa Kannon Temple, which has more than 1300 years of history. From here, you may catch a glimpse of the iconic Tokyo Skytree. Next, shop souvenirs at nearby Nakamise Shopping Street, a walkway leading to the temple that is lined with crafts, souvenirs and other cultural curios. Browse and shop for the prefect keepsake for loved ones back home. Thereafter, before you end the day with a shopping spree in Shinjuku Shopping District, a sprawling district dotted with dazzling neon lights and sleek skyscrapers. Then, proceed to airport for your flight back Kuala Lumpur with unforgettable memories.
