Upon arrival, visit Noboribetsu Jigokudani (Hell Valley), a geothermal valley formed by volcanic activity. Sulfurous steam rises from the ground, creating an eerie yet fascinating landscape. Walk along the trails to witness the hot steam vents and bubbling ponds. Then proceed to Hakodate to explore the historic Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, once storage buildings from the Meiji era, now transformed into trendy shops and eateries. Continue to Meiji-kan to appreciate classical Japanese architecture. In the evening, take the ropeway to the top of Mt Hakodate for a panoramic night view - one of the world’s top three nightscapes.

After breakfast, visit the vibrant Hakodate Morning Market, famous for its fresh seafood. Then, travel to Lake Toya, renowned for being ice-free all year round. The vast and calm lake surface glistens in a vivid emerald green, resembling a giant gem embedded among the surrounding mountains. After that, view the Showa-Shinzan, its multi-coloured slopes displaying its unique geological structure. Then, visit the Bear Ranch, home to over 100 Hokkaido brown bears. You can opt to purchase food or apples to feed the bears at your own expense. In the evening, check in to a local Onsen Resort and relax in the onsen to rejuvenate both body and mind.

Lastly, indulge in shopping at the renowned Tanukikoji Shopping Street.

Then head to Mitsui Outlet Park Sapporo - Kitahiroshima, a large-scale outlet mall with hundreds of international and Japanese brands offering great discounts on fashion, luggage, sportswear, and more.
