Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your flight to Shantou. Upon arrival, you will tour the Seaside Promenade and People’s Square with your local guide and coach. After enjoying dinner, check into the hotel for rest.

H: Shantou Xinhaotian Hotel or SML

After breakfast, proceed to Mazu Palace, the earliest building built in Shantou as a trading port and a symbol for overseas Chinese returning to trace their roots. Next, visit the Century Old Small Park and Zhongshan Memorial Pavilion to reminisce about the Shantou’s old days. Afterwards, take a bus to Chaozhou and explore Paifang Street, followed by a visit to Kaiyuan Temple, the oldest temple in eastern Guangdong. Relax in teahouses in the ancient city, watch traditional plays, and listen to Teochew operas. Take in the view at Guangji Bridge, one of the four ancient bridges in China, and overlook the Guangji Gate Tower. Then, transfer to visit the Hanwengong Temple. You can also taste Buddha’s hand, kumquat, and other traditional candied fruits from Chaoshan’s old shops, as well as savor braised goose and other authentic Chaozhou dishes for dinner.

H: Chaozhou Linjiang Hotel or SML

After enjoying breakfast, transfer to Meizhou, known as the “World Hakka Capital”. Then, visit Hakka Park and Hakka Museum (closed on Mondays), the latter being the only specialized museum in China that collects, displays, and inherits Hakka culture. Inside the Thousand Buddhas Pagoda stands the Thousand Buddhas Iron Pagoda, a cultural relic from the Southern Han Dynasty and a symbolic structure of Meizhou’s historical and cultural city. Afterwards, transfer to visit one of the iconic Hakka Walled Village.

H: Meizhou Vienna Hotel or SML

After breakfast, transfer to Chuxi Tulou Cluster, a World Cultural Heritage site, which consists of five circular buildings and dozens of square buildings, including Yuqing Tower, Jiqing Tower, Gengqing Tower, and others. Among them, Jiqing Tower has a history of nearly 600 years, making it one of the oldest buildings in the cluster. After lunch, continue to Zhangzhou to visit the Millennium Old City and the Ming and Qing Ancient Street.

H: Zhangzhou Yu Yuan Hotel or SML

After breakfast, transfer to Xiamen and visit Jimei Village, founded in 1913 by patriotic overseas Chinese businessman Mr. Tan Kah Kee. The architectural design of the school village is unique and has a distinctive style. Then, visit Kah Kee Park. For lunch, enjoy crispy five-spice rolls, soft-shell shrimp, and other specialties at the famous “Wei You Duck Meesua” restaurant. Later, explore Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street tastes the local snacks at you own.

Take a boat to the Sea Garden Gulangyu, visit the Architecture of All Nations (Catholic Church, Concord Church, various of old villas), Shuzhuang Garden, and Piano Museum. Stroll along Longtou Road Commercial Street and browse tourist souvenirs. Free tasting of handmade glutinous rice balls from time-honored brands on Gulangyu Island (lunch can be enjoyed on the island at your own expense, featuring various Xiamen delicacies or famous Taiwanese snacks).

Take a luxury cruise ship to Kinmen. Visit Chen Jinglan Western House, Zhaishan Tunnel, Juguang Tower, Zhongshan Forest (Old Rushan Fort) in National Park, and taste Kinmen One Root and Gong Candy.

Note: Kinmen uses Taiwan dollars. Chinese Yuan is not accepted. Currency exchange is available at both Xiamen and Kinmen Ferry Terminals. Singapore and Malaysian passports are visa-exempt for Kinmen; Indonesian passports require a double-entry visa for China and a Taiwan visa.

After breakfast, we will transfer to Quanzhou. In Jinjiang Wudianshi Traditional Blocks, you’ll see unique Southern Fujian architecture, including “imperial palace” red brick buildings and a blend of Chinese and Western-style structures. Next, visit the thousand-year-old Kaiyuan Temple and observe symbols of Quanzhou’s ancient city. Then, you’ll transfer to Xunpu Village, home to one of Fujian’s three major fisherwoman communities and descendants of ancient Arabs. Afterwards, return by coach to Xiamen.
