Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Chitose via Narita or Haneda airport

Next, head to Odori Park in the heart of Sapporo city. This beautifully manicured greenspace is a charming assembly of monumental fountains, sculptures and flowerbeds. Round off your day with retail therapy at Hokkaido’s longest shopping street Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade.

Enjoy a morning photo stop at picturesque Lake Toya and Mt Showa, the volcanic lava dome. The phrase “grin and bear it” takes on a more literal and positive spin at Shouwa Sinzan Bear Ranch, with your introduction to the facility’s bevy of adorable bears. These bears are trained by professionals to delight visitors just the “bear” necessities: to wave and greet visitors upon their arrival. You may photograph and feed these fuzzy animals at your own expense. You may also pick up skincare products derived from horse oil at the local souvenir shop. Next take a leisurely drive to Hakodate. Visit Goryokaku Tower to learn about the history of Hakodate, capture the view of Goryokaku fort frame with blossoms in spring and crimson foliage in autumn. Thereafter, proceed to Hakodate Factory Akarenga, an old red brick warehouse that has been restored to become a chic waterfront dining and shopping area. After breakfast, visit Hakodate morning market, a vibrant and atmospheric spot with a plethora of stalls selling fresh seafood and all sorts of snacks. Sample and purchase the day’s freshest and most mouth-watering catch at your own expense. Next, proceed to Aomori by rail through the Seikan Tunnel. The Seikan Tunnel is the world’s longest undersea tunnel and it links Hokkaido and Tohoku. Upon arrival in Aomori, head to Nebuta-no-sato to see the signature giant colourful floats and cultural display. Stay overnight in Aomori onsen hotel. Depart Aomori for Akita. Learn how precious stones are mined in Osarizawa Mineland and be sure to pay attention because you will get to bring back whatever you find in a gold panning session! Then, be enchanted by the sapphire-blue waters of Japan’s deepest lake, Lake Tazawa and its scenic surroundings. Thereafter, visit the former castle town and samurai stronghold Kakunodate known for its samurai architecture and resplendent cherry blossoms. End the day in Akita.  

Today, stop by Seitai Hoshikai to see wooden statue of Our Lady of Akita and you might join the 2,000 people who have witnessed the shedding of tears from the statue. Next, visit Kamo Aquarium which holds the Guinness World Record for the largest number of jellyfish in its collection. The range of jellyfish and jellyfish-related souvenirs and dishes are guaranteed to delight jellyfish aficionados. If you are not a jellyfish fan, the collection of fascinating marine animals is guaranteed to delight and entertain just as much. End the day on a relaxing note at the Japanese Sake Museum. Learn the secrets behind Japan’s most well-known drink and sample exclusive styles and flavours before making your purchase at your own expense.   

After breakfast, board the Mogami River Cruise for a scenic ride in the tranquil waters of the Mogami River. As your guide serenades you with the traditional Mogami River song while cruising down the river, you will understand why this river is deeply loved by the locals. Then, roll up your sleeves and be a baker for the afternoon as you participate in a hands-on DIY gluten bread session. In case you are still hungry, savour delicious handmade tofu before heading to Ginzan Hot Spring in Obanazawa. Dotted with wooden inns, this atmospheric hot spring town looks like the set of Japanese period film and was in fact, featured in the famous Japanese tearjerker drama, Oshin. Tonight, enjoy a relaxing hot spring bath at Tendo Onsen.  

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home
