After breakfast, embark on an adventure through Golden Circle, southern Iceland’s most popular tourist route. Visit Thingvellir National Park, Iceland’s 1st national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then marvel at the geothermal hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur before visiting the magnificent 2-tiered waterfall Gullfoss. Head to Selfoss for your overnight stay.

This morning, travel to Iceland’s South Coast. Be enthralled by the picturesque Seljalandsfoss as it plummets 200 feet into a deep plunge pool below. Next, pass by Eyjafjallajokull, an ice-capped volcano, before you stop by Skogar to visit the famous Skogafoss, regarded by many as the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland. Continue to the charming village of Vik and make a stop to view the basalt sea stalks of Reynisdrangar and Reynisfjara black sand beach. If you are feeling adventurous, opt for a thrilling optional glacier walk, at your own expense, guided by a certified glacier guide. This evening, head to Jokulsarlon region to spend the night.

Start the day exploring Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, a large glacial lake in southeastern Iceland. Embark on an amphibian boat tour and sail among huge icebergs. The lagoon is the lowest point in the country and filled with icebergs drifting towards the sea, often with seals lounging on top. The blocks of ice that break off from the glacier are typically 30 metres high in dramatic shades of white and bright blue. Explore the famous Diamond Beach where huge chunks of icebergs washed ashore dazzle and glisten on a black sand beach. Journey through Skaftafell, famous throughout the country for its excellent trails and marvel at magnificent ice formations. Head to East Iceland region for your overnight stay.

Start your day with a scenic drive to Lake Myvatn to explore the lava formations of Dimmuborgir and the bubbling mud pools and steaming fumaroles of Hverarondor Hverir. Next, visit Dettifoss, reputed to be the most powerful waterfall in Europe, and Godafoss, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland measuring 12 metres high and 30 metres wide. There are walking paths around the falls making it easy to take fantastic photographs from different angles. Head to North Iceland region for your overnight stay.

Enjoy a scenic drive to Husavik, the whale capital of Iceland. Go on a whale watch cruise and try to spot the various species including the northern bottlenose whales, minke whales and humpback whales. Continue your journey to Akureyri, Iceland’s 2nd city nestled at the base of Eyjafjordor. Spend the rest of the day exploring Akureyri. Do not forget to visit the stroll pass the Akureyri Church and take a selfie with the unique “Hearts of Akureyri” – red heart traffic lights located all around the city.

Today, drive towards the exceptionally beautiful and magical Snaefellsnes Peninsula today, starting from the town of Grundarfjordur and the majestic Kirkjufell, one of the most famous and photographed mountains in Iceland. Head to West Iceland region for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, proceed to Hraunfossar, a fascinating and unique natural spectacle of waterfalls flowing through lava rock, as well as Barnafoss, also known as Children’s Falls, to uncover the legend behind this natural beauty. Stop at the bubbling waters of Deildartunguhver, the powerful thermal spring with Europe’s highest flow rate of 180 litre per second. Next, head back to Reykjavik across Hvalfjordur Tunnel, the 5,770-metre-long tunnel through a deep fjord. Later, head to Blue Lagoon. Here, you can enjoy a rejuvenating dip at the world-renowned Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, famous for its mineral-rich seawater and silica mud, before savouring a delightful lagoon drink.
