Start your day on the right foot as you admire the picturesque blooms at Hitachi Seaside Park, including the iconic nemophila and tulips as they bathe the park in brilliant hues of red and blue. Next, proceed to Nikko Toshogu, a 400 year-old Shinto Shrine and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unlike other shrines in Japan where simplicity is the focus, Nikko Toshogu boasts lavish decorations with wood carvings and gold leaf. Spend the night in Nikko.

This morning, take a leisurely drive to Aizu and explore the 600-year-old Tsuruga Castle that was reconstructed in the 1960s. Make your way to the top floor of the castle for a panoramic view of the city and you will also be able to enjoy the striking sea of cherry blossoms surrounding the castle during the sakura season. Make a stop at Aizu Sake Brewery for some sake tasting before we proceed to Nicchusen Memorial Sakura Road for a breathtaking display of cherry blossoms. Tonight, indulge in a relaxing mineral hot spring bath at an onsen resort in Tendo.

Renowned for producing Japan’s best dairy products, experience this first-hand at a rice ice cream tasting session at Yamagata before making your way to Mt Eboshi Park. Located on a high vantage point overlooking Azuma Mountain in sight of some 1,000 cherry trees of different varieties, Mt Eboshi Park is an outstanding spot for sakura viewing. Wrap up the day at the sprawling mustard fields of Fukushimagata Lagoon (during springtime) and be sure to keep a lookout for wildlife in the area as well.

After breakfast, transfer to Niigata port for your ferry to Sado Island, known for its rich gold and silver mines during the Edo period. Head to Gold Park, a hands-on facility at Nishimikawa Gold Dust Mine where you will get to try your hand at gold panning and bring home a gold card as a souvenir. Go on a Tarai boat ride, once used to collect shellfish and seaweed from rocky coastal waters, before returning to Niigata and indulging in a relaxing hot spring bath at Yuzawa Onsen in the evening.

This morning, take a leisurely stroll along one of the most famous and best sakura-viewing sites in Japan, Akagi Nanmen Thousand Sakura Road. During the sakura season, over 1,000 cherry blossom trees in bloom line both sides of the road, forming a stunning pink tunnel and shibasakura on the lawn from mid to end April. Then, soak up some Japanese heritage at Kawagoe Old Street, a well-preserved edo-inspired town with traditional merchants' houses on stone pavements selling Japanese candy, sweet potato cakes, rice crackers, and many other snacks. Head to Tokyo and lose yourself amidst the hustle and bustle of the city and its multitude of major departmental stores.

Day 3日光 - 会津 - 山形 - 天道

早晨,悠闲地驾车前往会津,探索有着六百年历史并于60年代重建的敦贺城堡。前往城堡的顶层,欣赏城市全景,在樱花盛开的季节,可以欣赏到城堡周围壮丽的樱花花海景象。在会津清酒厂停留品尝清酒,然后前往日中線記念樱花路欣赏樱花盛景。晚上,在天道温泉度假村尽情泡温泉放松身心。

Day 4天道 – 山形 - 新泻

山形以生产日本最好的乳制品而享誉盛名,您在此可亲身品尝米淇淋,然后前往乌帽子山公园。公园位于东面山高处,可俯瞰欣赏一千多棵不同品种的樱树,是观赏樱花的绝佳景点。在福岛县泻湖(春季)广阔的芥菜田结束一天的行程,一定要留意当地的野生动物。

早餐后,送往新泻港,乘渡轮到江户时代盛产金银矿的佐渡岛。前往黄金公园,在西川金沙矿可以尝试亲手淘金,并带金卡回家作为纪念品。体验乘坐曾用来从岩石海岸收集贝类和海藻的盆船,然后返回新泻,晚上在汤泽温泉尽情享受。

早晨,沿着日本最著名的樱花观景点——赤城南门千樱路漫步。在四月中下旬樱花花季,路旁一千多棵樱树争奇斗艳,形成一条令人震撼不已的粉红隧道。然后,在江户风格的川越老街漫步,逛逛石街旁售卖日本糖果、红薯蛋糕、米饼等多种小吃的传统商人房屋,沉浸在传统文化氛围中。随后前往东京,享受这座熙熙攘攘的城市的繁华,尽情地逛无数的大商场。
