Welcome to Switzerland, land of clocks, chocolates and indispensable Swiss Army Knives. Begin your trip with a scenic drive to Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Upon arrival, proceed to Bahnhofplatz and commence your tour of the city. Keep your eyes peeled for the 16th-century astronomical Clock Tower with its ornate decorations. A short walk away, you will find House No. 49, Einstein House, Albert Einstein’s former home and the place where he came up with the groundbreaking theory of relativity, published in 1905. Do not miss a visit to the iconic Bern Bear Park, dedicated to the bear, the main symbol of Bern’s coat of arms. Next, head to Vevey, a charming Swiss town on Lake Geneva, and visit Chaplin’s World, an entertaining museum which enables guests to discover Charlie Chaplin, the man and the artist. The museum offers entertainment and a cultural experience to the general public as well as a “cult site” for movie lovers and fans of his Little Tramp character. Tonight, stay overnight in Vevey.

After breakfast, take a leisurely boat ride from Vevey to the fabled Chillon Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the region dating back to the 11th century. With its rugged mountainous setting, this castle comprises 100 independent buildings that were gradually connected over the ages and houses some of the most impressive relics of Switzerland’s past. A vision of peace and majesty, this castle has inspired esteemed poets such as Lord Byron. Continue on your journey and explore Lavaux Vineyard Terraces on a little touristic train on tyres, made up of a tractor locomotive and two coaches - the Lavaux Express. Travel the steep paths of the vineyard and discover the beautiful landscapes of the region in this unusual way. Next, enjoy wine tasting some of the finest Swiss wines from the region.

After breakfast, begin your tour with an excursion to Chamonix. From there, ascend the 3,842-metre-tall peak in Mont Blanc massif of the French Alps by a Aiguille du Midi cable car ride. This is the closest you can get to the summit of Mont Blanc without hiking or climbing. From there, enjoy a complete view of the north-facing slopes and its many glaciers. Next, head to Leukerbad, one of the largest spa and wellness resorts in Switzerland. This evening, enjoy a rejuvenating dip in the thermal springs of Leukerbad.

Today, journey to the municipality of Tasch and board the rack rail to Zermatt, a famous resort town at the base of Matterhorn. With its distinctive pyramidal shape, Matterhorn is Switzerland’s icon and one of the most distinctive mountains in the world. Spend your time at leisure exploring Hinterdorf Street, a car-free village dotted with sloped-roof wooden alpine dwellings.

This morning, ride on Glacier Express, Switzerland’s most famous mountain railway which journeys over hundreds of bridges and through dozens of tunnels. Admire unique panoramic views of the Swiss Alps and the surrounding valleys, mountain forests, alpine meadows, rushing streams and villages. Enjoy a three-course lunch on board the train. Tonight, stay in St Moritz, the world-renowned winter-sports resort.

After breakfast, continue to the picturesque township of Lucerne and embark on a walking tour to the famous Chapel Bridge and the stirring Lion Monument, carved from a limestone cliff in memory to the Swiss guards who died defending the French King. Thereafter, spend the day at leisure, perhaps with some world-class shopping. You may also take an optional excursion to the top of Mt Titlis at your own expense.

Continue to Zug for a Swiss farm experience via a mini farm-safari train. Thereafter, cross the border to Germany and take a scenic drive through the Black Forest, the largest forest in the country. Adjourn to the tourist resort township of Titisee, home to Germany’s largest cuckoo clock centre. Tuck into a delicious original Black Forest lunch of German pork knuckles, sausages and the iconic Black Forest cake. Next, experience the awe-inspiring Rhine Falls on a boat ride to admire the beautiful scenery and listen to the roaring falls up close. Thereafter, proceed to Zurich for your overnight stay.

Spend the morning at leisure, and perhaps take some parting photographs of Zurich before you transfer to the airport for your flight home.
